An Intelligent Software Frontend empowering Today's Assistive Robots to cater for the Elderly Care Market
Technical Breakthrough
Through an innovatively designed algorithm that integrates all latest AI technology in facial recognition, objects detection, natural language processing, SLAM mapping and navigation into one coherent control center. we succeed in solving the 'last mile' reach-ability hurdle that has been challenging most service robots in the market today, namely the ability to effectively and autonomously find, identify and move close to a target person's proximity without human intervention (which is commonly done via joystick or outright maneuvering). Together with other well-designed hand-holding mechanisms, various complex behaviors such as the following can be executed.
Core Functionalities
Come OverUpon hearing the summon, robot can rotate and locate a person, then orient itself and move to the person's proximity, waiting for further commands

Remind PersonUpon receiving the command, the robot can roam around, find and identify the specified person through facial recognition, confirm his identity, and deliver the reminder, which could be a reminder to drink water, take medicine, or initiate a video chat with the person's family members.

Get Itemupon receiving the command, the robot remembers the spot and the command-giving-person through facial recognition. It then proceeds to retrieve it autonomously from a supply station manned by a robot arm. It then goes back to the original spot, finds the person and gives him the item. All these are determined on the fly and executed by the same program autonomously without human intervention.
